What is my job description? It’s ever changing. What I can tell you is that it’s definitely not just putting a home on the market, doing some marketing, and collecting a paycheck. While sometimes it CAN be that easy, I always try to prove my value and earn every bit of trust and pay that my clients give me. Since it’s extremely easy to get your real estate license, you can’t expect to do the bare minimum and stand out from the rest. There are a lot of really great realtors that do a lot of the same stuff, and it doesn’t always look like this video, but the main thing is that they are being open-minded and creative in order to provide solutions for their clients and those are the ones that you want to work with. Shout out to all my fellow hard-working brokers that will never be taken over by AI! Fast one to Kauai to “help” the Town Boardriders in the Hawai’i Cup at Pinetrees. (@two_boys_hi Aka Uncle Clifton aka James) and I were in the 40-49 age bracket and humbly experienced how anybody can surf perfect waves but only the elite can surf 2 ft on shore beach break well 😬 It was a super fun experience supporting the team and just being on our favorite island! While I do love my career as a real estate broker, I actually prefer the design + build aspect of the job…mainly because I grew up loving art and being creative. I nearly majored in graphic design at UC Davis, but quickly changed my major to “Undecided”😁. So stoked to have my biggest bro Jevon back in Hawaii full-time to do life with him, but also because he’s got decades of general contracting on his belt and together with the design skills of @tessajean & my sis-in-law @stephiekchan, I think the four of us might be able to do some pretty cool real estate projects here as a family! A few weeks ago, @tessajean and I started a new chapter with our first home together! Last month, my oldest brother Jevon, sister-in-law Steph, and their family permanently moved to Hawaii after being gone since 1990! I haven’t lived in the same state as my brother for 31 years, which is the majority of my life. I realized that even when he was here while I was a kid, I only really remembered 4-5 years of that time because I was still a toddler. It’s crazy to think about. But we are so happy to have them close, family is everything and I’m feeling a new sense of love and appreciation I never knew because this is really…new. Really missing my third brother Pierre and his wife Cory and their kids. Hope to see you soon.
