Coming soon to the Ala Moana area is a large, 2-tower mixed-use residential development with one of the largest amenity decks in the entire city- Sky Ala Moana. This large complex will feature two towers, known as Sky West and Sky East, which in total will bring 474 studio to 2-bedroom homes to the Midtown Ala Moana neighborhood. The project is being developed by real estate and private equity firm JL Capital, while Design Partners Incorporated (who have also completed Azure Ala Moana and 400 Keawe) will be leading architecture efforts and Philpotts Interiors (who also completed The Collection, Park Lane, and One Ala Moana) will lead interior design.

Sky Ala Moana will be located directly across Makaloa Street from Walmart and Sam's Club, which means any groceries, daily necessities, and even larger purchases are right outside Sky Ala Moana residents' doorsteps. Sky Ala Moana is also surrounded by a variety of restaurants, including Ireh (a Korean restaurant), Yung Yee Kee Dim Sum, Pandora Café Karaoke/Bar & Grill, Kickin Kajun Honolulu, and Malu Honolulu (a café).
Down Ke'eaumoku Street is the largest open-air shopping center in the world- the Ala Moana Center. Crossing and walking down Kapiolani Boulevard will bring you to Target, Planet Fitness, and the Bank of Hawai'i, and just a bit further South will bring you to the main portion of the shopping mall. The Ala Moana Center is home to hundreds of designer boutiques, local shops, fast fashion chain stores, restaurants within a large cafeteria, and even year-round live performances.
Across Ala Moana Boulevard from the Ala Moana Center is Ala Moana Beach Park, which is a great place for outdoor exercising, playing with pets, and having picnics with friends and family. This park also features a beach, an L&L Hawaiian Barbecue restaurant, a Biki bike station, tennis and beach volleyball courts, and the Magic Island Lagoon. All of this is just a 6-minute drive from Sky Ala Moana, or less than a 20-minute walk if you prefer to get some extra exercise on foot.
